The importance of land surveying in the world we live in today
Land surveying is the measurement and mapping of our sorrounding environment using mathematics, specialised equipment and technology. Surveyors measure just about anything in on the land, in the sky or on the ocean bed. They even measure polar ice-caps. Land surveying is important in todays generation. I have 3 main points to discuss.
Land survey is important in construction -- both residential and commercial. Residential areas such as villages and subdivisions are divided into lot areas of similar or different sizes. Each lot area has a fixed measurement, depending on the agreement and on the measurement written in the land title. Through land survey, that specific area measurement and the boundaries among lot areas can be determined. Hence, it is the system itself that manages everything about lot areas. On the other hand, commercial areas are also divided into areas, which are larger and wider since it is all about the construction of infrastractures, like those we see on the downtowns everyday -- malls, hotels, towers, and a lot more. Its area and boundaries should be identified as well, since every inch of the lot area has an owner. Otherwise, land features of a certain area, such as fault lines, slopes, and other characteristics should be studies to secure the strength and stability of a certain infrastracture by improving and planning the construction according to the features. Land survey will identify all those features and any other derails that could help improve the modern environment, especially in urban areas, where there are lots of people and buildings in every corner of the noisy streets.
Land survey is important in certifying land ownership. Judicial cases about land ownerships and resulting subcrimes such as murder, estafa, and many other criminal cases are arising because of untitled lands and uncertified ownerships. Through land survey, as mentioned in the previous paragraph, determines the boundaries of a certain area. Thus, it clarifies issues about land ownership and lessen the judicial cases about it. There are still lots of land areas nationwide, or probably worldwide, that are remained untitled for various reasons such as the isolation of that certain area, lack of finance or no certain approval from the authority. Without land survey, this will never be resolved. However, the authorities are beginning to certify each one by one, and soon resolve all cases of untitled land areas. Land survey also determines the point of division in each areas, and since it is used as the basis of land titles, it is a very important detail especially in buying lot areas.

Land surveying plays an important role in the modern world we live in, for it is necessary to mark boundaries on the ground so that they are clear to the observers standing on or near the property. Land mapping is also a must. Land surveying could lessen the arising arguement regarding the land area. Without land surveying people would just claim that the owned a land- Those are the importance of land surveying.
